Situated in the rural village of Odcombe, hunkering down for the night nestled amongst fields could be a far cry from your urban lodgings. With accommodation conveniently located in the wide open space in the rear grounds of the pub, you won’t need to stumble far for a cold refreshing pint and some great home-cooked food. Bring your four legged friends too – the more the merrier.

With the pubs charming exterior of local Hamstone, you’ll immediately feel like you’ve ventured back in time a little, with its picture-perfect frontage. Colourful hanging baskets are lovingly dotted along this roadside tavern, welcoming both locals and tourists alike. Situated 3 miles to the west of Yeovil, this perfectly formed Somerset village is the ideal jumping off point en-route to Cornwall from London.

Duncan Rouse, Head of Business Partnerships remarked “We’re always on the lookout for great new additions to the Hall & Woodhouse Business Partner Estate – The Masons Arms is a really beautiful pub and an exciting opportunity at a time when we’re all holidaying in the UK more. Our aim is to ‘make people’s day’ and what better way than to be able to welcome guests for the night with drinks and dinner, before providing comfortable accommodation and setting them up for a day of exploring with a great breakfast.”

We’d also like to extend a warm welcome to a new Business Partner to the family – joining us all the way from South Africa. Having previously set up bed and breakfasts in her home country, Rose is looking forward to welcoming guests at the Masons Arms for many years to come.

Fancy a visit? You could make a weekend of it… with time to spare, venture into Yeovil and enjoy a visit to Ninesprings Country Park, spanning 20 acres and featuring streams, ponds and Māori sculptures. History-lovers can get their fix at the National Trust property, Montacute House – considered one of the most beautiful Elizabethan houses in England. If museums are more your thing, check out the Fleet Air Arm Museum devoted to all things Royal Navy or if you prefer your transport on four wheels, drive on over to Haynes International Motor Museum. All of these attractions are within a 5 – 20 minute drive from the Masons Arms.
