Your guide to renting a pub

From monthly costs to recruitment and stock, when it comes to renting a pub of your own there’s certainly a lot to think about….

…..That’s one of the great benefits of working with Hall & Woodhouse – when you rent a pub from us, we become Business Partners.

However, our support doesn’t begin and end there – which is why we’ve put together a handy guide to highlight the key considerations when choosing a pub to rent.

Where do I find pubs to rent?

Hall & Woodhouse have a great choice of pubs to rent with different types of properties that you could soon call your own. Whether you’re looking for a destination dining pub, a pub with guest accommodation, or want to venture into events and functions, we’re bound to have a pub to rent that you’ll love.

Our search function allows you to filter by location to make it even easier to find your dream pub.

How much does it cost to rent a pub?

Costs vary considerably between different types of properties and depend on the type of tenancy agreement you decide on. We offer different types of business partnership agreement, and while they all come with initial upfront costs, rent is calculated on the Fair Maintainable Trade of the pub. This is the level of turnover that we agree the pub is capable of achieving on an annual basis. Using industry standards we will be able to forecast the level of profit the pub will generate and the level of rent, and we will always share how we’ve come to the final figure so you’re never in doubt that you’re getting a good deal.

While there’s a lot of things to consider before running a pub, we hope this has been a good starting point for you. Why not get in touch and have a chat with Julie from our BP Marketing team, who will be happy to answer any questions you may have: 07971 161071 or julie.barlow@hall-woodhouse.co.uk.
